The Chapel is situated at the S.W. end of the village, up the lane from Coed Cwnwr road.
It was built in 1840 on land given by Cradock Gwynne Watkins of Llangwm. The building was financed by the local Baptists who at that time attended "Peniel", an older chapel on Golden Hill (now ruined) of which the Chapel at Llangwm was a branch.
Exterior:- It is cement rendered with slate roof. There are three windows, with c 19. tracery on each side wall. Date stone 1840 above tall pointed door entrance.
Interior:- Has a gallery at entrance end and late c 19. pews. Wall finished in plain two tone. Pulpit with plain balustrated rail around. Seating approx. 100.
The Chapel is mentioned in Sir Joseph Bradney's "A History of Monmouthshire", Volume 3 (dated 1923), page 170. It became a Grade 11 listed building on 12th October 2000.
