Spring/Summer Trips 2019
We have three trips planned for this year as shown below. Each of these is by ticket-only.
Tuesday 16th April at 3 p.m. - Guided Visit to St Cybi's Church, LlangybiProf. Maddy Gray is our guide for this trip. Maddy spoke to the Group in February about
St Cybi's Church and in particular about the wall paintings. On this trip she will talk to us about the Church and show us its wall paintings.

The cost is £4 pp.
Saturday 11th May - Coach Tour of the South Wales ValleysThe coach will pick us up from Llangwm at 8.30 and then from Twyn Square, Usk at 8.45.
Dr. Naylor Firth, who has spoken to our group on several occasions, has planned a route to take us to a variety of historic sites in the South Wales valleys. There will be plenty of toilet stops and no difficult walking.
Our lunch stop is in Pontypridd (lunch extra cost).
Arrive back at Usk, Llangwm approx. 6.30pm
Coach costs, Guide and Driver's tip are all included in the price of £15 pp.
Wednesday 12th June 2018, 10 a.m./2 p.m. - Caerleon guided walk with County ArchivesThe walk is scheduled for 10 a.m. in the morning and again at 2 p.m. in the afternoon. There can be up to 15 people on each walk. Please indicate when booking whether morning or afternoon will suit you best.
Staff from County Archives in Ebbw Vale will be guiding us around Caerleon telling us about its history as shown by documents from the Archives. We meet promptly by the amphitheatre for the walk, which will last about 2 hours.
From 12 to 12:30 (after the morning walk) and from 1.30 to 2 p.m. (before the afternoon walk) we have booked a room in St Cadoc's Church Hall where the documents will be displayed for us to have a closer look. From 12:30 to 1:30 our guides will be at lunch.
The cost is £5 pp.
